Durand Bernarr is a GRAMMY-winning singer, songwriter, and visionary artist, celebrated as one of the most exciting and innovative voices in contemporary R&B. Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, he was raised in a musical household—his father an audio engineer and his mother a vocal coach—shaping his deep, intuitive connection to sound from an early age.

By 16, Durand was already working behind the scenes with Earth, Wind & Fire, a formative experience that helped launch his career. His genre-bending style and unmistakable voice first gained widespread attention with his 2016 project Sound Check, followed by his debut album DUR& (2020), featuring collaborations with Ari Lennox, Anna Wise, and Kaytranada.

His artistry continued to evolve with Wanderlust and the critically acclaimed En Route, which earned a GRAMMY nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album. This year, Durand won a GRAMMY, marking a major milestone in his career and cementing his place among today’s leading R&B innovators.
