Norman Connors biograpy
Jazz drummer, composer, arranger and producer
Norman Connors worked with Archie Shepp on 1967 release The Magic
of Ju-Ju. He went on to work with Pharoah Sanders and released jazz
albums on the Cobblestone Label before producing R&B hits throughout
the 70s.
Jean Carne biography
Jean Carne has recorded and shared the stage with
artists, producers and songwriters including Stevie Wonder, Lou
Rawls, The O’Jays, Earth, Wind & Fire and MFSB. When living
in New York, she met and married jazz pianist Doug Carn and partnered
with him in what would become a trendsetting jazz-fusion tradition.
Gary Bartz joined Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers in 1965, recording
Soulfinger with the group. In 1970, Bartz was asked by Miles Davis
to perform with his band at the Isle of Wight Festival. Bartz’
own group, Ntu Troop (after the Bantu word for ‘unity’),
blended soul, funk, African folk music, hard bop and avant-garde
jazz on albums including I’ve Known Rivers and Other Bodies,
Music Is My Sanctuary, Love Affair and Home. Click

Bobby Lyle biography
Legendary pianist/organist Bobby Lyle was deemed
a musical wonder when he released his first album, The Genie, which
exploded onto the Billboard charts and blew the minds of jazz enthusiasts
everywhere. Since that debut, Lyle has kept a high standard for
30-plus years, and has successfully maintained a flourishing, alwaysevolving
