Biography

Born von December 27th in 1986, pianist Pablo Held lives in Cologne, Germany, where he works with his own band "Pablo Held Trio" and as a sideman in various groups. To date Held has worked with the likes of WDR BigBand, Paul Heller, Dave Liebman, Jasper Blom, Matthias Nadolny, Jochen Rückert, Uli Beckerhoff, Ignaz Dinné, Eric Vloeimans, Henning Berg, Nicolas Thys, Claudio Puntin, Claus Stötter, Manfred Schoof, Julian Argüelles, Henning Sieverts, Dre Pallemaerts, Nils Wogram and others. Held has also performed at various festivals including North Sea Jazz Festival, 12 Points Festival , The Hague Jazz, London Jazz Festival, Novi Sad Jazz Festival, InnTöne Festival, Berlin Jazzfest, Jazzfestival Moers, Maastricht Jazz Masters, Münster Jazzfestival, WDR 3 JazzCologne, Citroen Jazznight Emsdetten, JOE Festival, Audi Jazz Festival and Jazzahead.

Pablo Held has recorded two critically acclaimed CD’s under his own name (Forest of Oblivion & Music, both of them released by the German label Pirouet Records).
