Biography

Mahalia originates from Leicester. She been making music since the age of 12 and has seen a steady rise over the last few years, recently being nominated as the 2019 BRIT Critics Choice Award.

Mahalia’s style of R&B recalls the likes of Erykah Badu, Sade and Lauryn Hill, but sprinkled with originality and pushed into the present day. Warm tones melding into groove-laden beats with open-hearted lyricism holding it all together. Mahalia encompasses the classic sounds of the past while not being hemmed in by one particular genre.
