Tracy Hamlin biography
At age 11, Tracy Hamlin sang in front of a curious crowd at the
La Fountain Blue in Baltimore, Md. Hamlin would finish the gig on
a high knowing she impressed many that night. She was also fully
aware that she had a special gift, and her life would change forever.
Hamlin developed her classical music skills learning how to sing
in three languages – French, German and Italian at the Baltimore
School of the Arts. She continued musical training at the Prestigious
Peabody Preparatory School of Music.
Hamlin is the long-time lead singer for the award-winning Pieces
of a Dream – adding her lead vocal charm to the albums “No
Assembly” and “Love’s Silhouette”. She has
shared the stage with the likes of Carlos Santana, Al Jarreau, Boney
James, Indie Arie and Joe Sample. Hamlin has also performed as background
singer for artists such as Howard Hewett, Miki Howard and Maysa
Leak.
Hamlin not only delivers soul ballads as they should be delivered
– that is with warm soulful flare, she also adds her own unique
soulful jazzy edge. Hamlin best describes her singing like this,
"As a vocalist, I plan to keep delivering good, quality music
from my heart, which is what you'll find when you hear my music."
