Biography

Trina Broussard’s professional career began in 1998 after covering Minnie Riperton’s classic “Inside My Love.” Jermaine Dupri was so impressed by her cover, he signed her to his label So So Def. This signing would be short lived as she left a year later after the mismanagement and stalled release of her first album “Inside My Love.”

In 2002, “Inside My Love” was released on Motown/Universal Records. By this time the album track “Sailing” had already become a favourite among fans after regular airplay on Jazz FM. In 2004, Motown released Broussard’s second album “Same Girl.”
‘Real soul music fans’ are still awaiting the release of Trina Broussard’s third studio album “Life of a Libra”. (Initially due for release in 2010).
