Walking With Strangers

Soulful, classy and warm. This set is like a glass of good red wine (or white if you prefer). I expected quality musicianship when I read the personnel line up which features the likes of Patrice Rushen, George Duke, 'the temperamental personality', but precise drums of Terri Lyne Carrington and the amazingly underrated soulful voice of Frank Mccomb, who's timely duet with Marilyn on “You Don't know what Love Is” will seduce the most hardened ears. I will admit to not reaching the last track on this CD for a long time as the first six tracks were exquisite if I miss a note or get distracted whilst listening I just have to press the repeat button.
'Turn off the Lights and light a candle'. Relax and spoil yourself with this offering. Marilyn Scott has the right ingredients to soothe your soul with this album. Let the music flow over you.
